About this Podcast

This podcast is part of an effort to bring more active music making into the lives of my kindergarten students and their families. The songs you will hear on these podcasts are folksongs, childhood favorites, and learning songs. While most of the songs are for singing along with, there are a few songs that are specifically for listening, some game songs, and a few read-along songs. All of the material is covered in the music classroom, the podcasts are a way to let students review and practice the songs.

I attempted to carry out this podcasting idea during the 2009 - 2010 school year, but met up with many obstacles and time constraints that made me abandon the project. During the summer of 2010, I got some expert help, and had time to fix the problems. Hopefully, this year's project will be more reliable, and students can be sure that their podcast will be available on the 15th of every month during the school year.
